The man is ‘missing’ after an arrest by the Police in China … it’s a long story and I urge you to read more on this but in short, he has been
arrested for speaking his mind and exercising freedom of speech.

I’m taking my light sculptures on holiday to the country for a while.
Country lines is a slightly new direction for me, in that you wont be seeing any city streets or buildings.

The city is a vibrant riot of sound and activity, take another look at these spaces we know so well and re-evaluate in silence.
As the sun goes down on yet another day in the city, the busy spaces slowly clear and the Soul of the City begins to wake once again.
Sleeping spaces are replenished and recharged by standing stones of light.
As always, there’s no photoshop, no manipulation just one man, one camera and a light!

Long overdue I know (sorry), but here are four of the seven images from my latest studio series.
Entitled Crystal Nebula the images take their inspiration from deep space imagery
and combines my fascination with geometry to create a truly unique graphical

As mentioned a week or so ago I did some filming recently for a profile on the YOUROPE show on Arte TV and, here it is in it’s full glory.
Arte TV is a German and French language arts channel, this version is in French with German overdub so a good chance to brush up on
your French and German skills at the same time!!!
Even if you can’t understand it, you get to see the answer to the question I am asked most frequently, namely: “How do you do it” !!!!???

Imagine my suprise this morning when having a nose around the Stump Juice page on Facebook led to me learning that
I had an original Banksy in my record box!!
It’s an old promo for the Capoeira Twins and their awesome ‘4 x 3′ tune, Banksy did just 100 copies and the very generous
John Stapleton from Blowpop records gave me one of them back in 1999.
I guess it must be one of Banksy’s first stencils so it’s rad to know I have one.
Needless to say, the cover is now going to be put somewhere a bit safer than the record box!
…now then, let’s see if I can find any old etchings by Da Vinci in my print draw!!
Filming for ARTE TV
Yesterday evening was spent in the company of Claudia and her camera crew filming a piece on yours truly for the Arte TV channel.
The guys flew over from Berlin to get an insight into my work and how I shoot.
Several hours were spent patrolling the streets of Birmingham making pictures and filming. It was kind of strange as I normally shoot in
the dead of night but this time I was surrounded by bemused office workers trudging home!
I’ll post a copy of the final feature on here as and when it’s good to go so you can see me being dubbed
into German – should be interesting!
